About Vernon Dental Arts
What began in Sparta in 1969 has now evolved into the family dental office in Vernon Township, NJ, known as Vernon Dental Arts. Dr. Scott Ruvo and Dr. Margarita Vergara are proud to offer their comprehensive dental care services to ensure that you have the best, most confident smile possible! We help brighten, restore, and maintain smiles for patients of all ages throughout Sussex County.
Our History
Vernon Dental Arts have proudly served the community for more than 60 years. Our dental office has been known throughout the community for providing high-quality dental care in a warm, inviting environment. Dr. Ruvo and Dr. Vergara have recently purchased the practice and will continue carrying on the legacy of Vernon Dental Arts. Our dentists are proud members of the Sussex County community!
Meet Our Dentists
Dr. Scott Ruvo, D.D.S.
Dr. Scott Ruvo grew up in Sussex County, N.J., playing football and wrestling for Pope John High School. He graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago Dental School. He is committed to helping his patients achieve excellent oral health in a warm and comfortable environment.
Dr. Ruvo comes from a family of dentists and actively seeks the latest advances in dental medicine by attending prestigious continuing education seminars, including the Rosenthal Institute for Cosmetic Dentistry and the Pankey Institute. Dr. Ruvo is also trained in orthodontics through the United States Dental Institute.
He is proud to be:

Dr. Ruvo has been voted one of New Jerseys Top Dentists several times. In 2018, he was awarded the Morton L. Wertheimer Award from the residents at Morristown Hospital. Dr. Ruvo is also a Trustee in the New Jersey Dental Society.
An avid outdoorsman, Dr. Ruvo enjoys fishing, hiking, biking, skiing, and swimming with his wife, Vicky, and their two children, Tai and Leia Grace.
Dr. Margarita Vergara, D.M.D
Dr. Vergara is also a long-time Sussex County resident, growing up in Newton, NJ. After completing her undergraduate curriculum at the University of North Carolina, she attended the University of Medicine and Dentistry in New Jersey. She was awarded Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry.
She completed a general practice residency at Morristown Memorial Hospital, where she was trained in Cad Cam Technology, implant restorations, full mouth rehabilitation, and pediatric dentistry. Dr. Vergara also has a passion for working with the disabled and patients with special needs.
She is proud to be:

Away from work, Dr. Vergara enjoys time with her husband, Joe, and their two beautiful girls. An enthusiastic sports fan, Dr. Vergara also enjoys golf and managing her fantasy football team.
